Dissemination of research outcomes

The ultimate purpose of health and social care research is to benefit patients, users, care professionals and the public in general, so it is important that researchers provide free access to information on the findings of research once they have received appropriate scientific review.

It is good practice to make findings available to research participants and other interested parties, such as patient support groups.

Costs for dissemination of the findings should be included in the project funding budgets, as far as possible.
