Research excellence at the University of Kent
Professor Mark Green from the University of Kents School of Physical Sciences has been announced as the recipient of a Royal Society Wolfson Research Merit Award.
The esteemed five year award, jointly funded by the Wolfson Foundation and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), supports excellence in research across the sciences.
Professor Green, Head of the School of Physical Sciences, said: The award is a testament to the quality of scientific research at the University of Kent, and its rising presence in Chemistry.
Professor Green is a Materials Chemist working on the development of functional materials for the next generation of energy and environmental application. He is one of 24 other newly appointed Wolfson Merit award holders from selected universities across the UK.
