It is a University Regulation that students not living in a college must update their term time address / telephone number via the Student Data System. This applies whether students live at home, in lodgings or at a campus address other than their College.

All students are personally responsible for ensuring that the University holds accurate information about them throughout their period of enrolment. If you fail to do so the University cannot be held responsible for you receiving incorrect correspondence from us or other agencies which may support your education.

It is in your best interests that the University holds this information in case of the need to contact you in an emergency.
It also means that important documents such as exam timetables and student transcript are delivered to your current address. 

How Do I change my address / personal details?  

• If you wish to change your permanent or emergency contact address, please email student_records@kent.ac.uk

• If you wish to change your Term Time address, log into your Student Data System account
  At your Home Page in the section "My Details" select button "My Record".
  This opens a page containing your personal details where you can amend your Term Time Address, telephone Nos & personal e mail address etc

Please note: your address change will not be immediate - it will take up to 3 working days for the change of address request to be approved and to appear on your record.
