Many graduates are now choosing to take advantage of work and study opportunities in Europe outside the UK and it is important that your KENT qualifications are easily recognized and understood.

The ‘objective that every student graduating as from 2005 should receive the Diploma Supplement automatically and free of charge’ was set as a requirement by the Communiqué of the Conference of Ministers responsible for Higher Education in Berlin, September 2003.

The European Diploma Supplement is a way of providing a currency for your academic curriculum, competencies and, where appropriate, professional qualifications that you have acquired while at KENT. The Diploma Supplement has full European approval with many countries agreeing to provide this document to a standard format, often as a legal requirement.

In 2005 KENT became the first British university to issue every graduating student with the European Diploma Supplement. In 2009 we became one of the first 3 universities in the UK to obtain a European Diploma Supplement Label from the European Commission Education Audiovisual & Culture Executive Agency which recognizes an institution has .. " committed itself to the rigorous application of the Diploma Supplement and has proven excellence in its implementation"

Please Note : we are unable to produce Diploma Supplements for students graduating before June 2005 . This is because your student record will not contain the necessary european credit scheme information.

In order to provide you with improved facilities KENT has implemented a new secure on line service for issuing and validating the European Diploma Supplement via https://securedocuments.kent.ac.uk

On logging into the site you will need to supply some basic security details so that we can validate your id

From this site you will be able:
• to access and print your European Diploma Supplement
• to manage the release of your European Diploma Supplement to a third party electronically, effectively allowing the third party to verify the information on the University’s web site. This removes the need to entrust your original documents to the post or to request duplicate copies from the University, and speeds up the communication process considerably. The electronic verification (under access permission granted by you) removes the need for a third party having to resort to telephone or written confirmation with the University.
