Group Dynamics and Social Influence

Research on this topic is conducted primarily in our dedicated social psychology laboratories as well as through community-based research. Much of the research within this topic is carried out through the Centre for the Study of Group Processes (CSGP).

Research within this topic focuses on such themes as the evolutionary origins of cooperation in social dilemmas, influence of leaders, the role of social norms in communication, subjective group dynamics, the dynamics of prison gang activity, and the impact of alcohol on group processes.
