Research interests

My research focuses on the multiple social and cognitive moderators of voting behaviour and political leadership. Research has shown that the perceived prototypicality of political leaders is of major importance for voting decisions. I am therefore especially interested in examining different factors influencing the perceived prototypicality of political leaders which in turn should affect voting decisions. The national elections within the UK in 2010 are providing an ideal background to examine these processes in reality.

Interests: Leadership, Prototypicality, Projection, Social Categorization, Embodiment, Social Cognition.
