About

Professor Simon Holder researched for his PhD in organic chemistry at the University of Hull under Dr David Lacey, as part of the Liquid Crystal Group. Having received his PhD in 1993, he went on to work as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Kent on polysilane syntheses and applications with Professor Dick Jones. Subsequently he worked on supramolecular chemistry with Professor Roeland Nolte at the University of Nijmegen and was appointed as a Lecturer in Organic Chemistry at Kent in 1998. He was made a Reader in Organic Chemistry in 2014.
