Applying to Kent
The Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) is the central organisation that processes applications for full time undergraduate courses at UK universities and colleges.
The system allows students to fill out one form to apply to up to five universities. The whole form is completed online allowing students to edit and re-edit their form prior to submission as often as they choose.
Applications for full-time honours degree and foundation courses at Kent should be done through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). Detailed instructions on how to apply are available on the UCAS website, or in the UCAS directory which is available in schools, colleges or public libraries.

From 1 September UCAS open their doors to applications for entry the following year.

The deadline for Oxbridge, medical, dentistry and veterinary courses is 15 October. The normal closing date for receiving any other applications is 15 January.
UCAS allows applicants to choose up to five universities or courses (although they can apply for fewer). When they have received a decision from all the universities they've applied to, your son or daughter needs to pick one university as their firm choice (top choice) and another as their insurance choice (second choice).

The institution code number of the University of Kent is K24, and the code name is KENT.
If your son or daughter does not receive any offers from their five chosen institutions they can still apply through UCAS Extra.
Clearing starts in mid-August and allows unplaced applicants to contact individual universities about their unfilled places. UCAS will automatically send out information to eligible applicants.
