DESCRIPTION:Leverhulme Lecture\n\nAfter studying law and English literature at Adelaide University in the 1980s, Margaret completed a doctorate in critical legal theory at Sussex University. Margaret began her academic career in 1992 as a foundation staff member at the Law School at Flinders University. \nShe has been a recipient of three Australian Research Council grants, and is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia and the Australian Academy of Law. She is author of four books and a variety of articles on legal theory and the philosophy of property, and is currently starting a research project concerning the tension between community and individual interests in property. \n\nOther recent research has been on legal pluralism and feminist legal theory. Margaret is currently Leverhulme Visiting Professor at the Kent Centre for Law Gender and Sexuality and the Kent Law School.\n\nhttp://www.kent.ac.uk/openlectures
