Professor Jeremy Cooper is Director of Studies for Tribunals and Board member in the newly created Judicial College. He is also Training Adviser to Lord Justice Carnwath, Senior President of Tribunals. He sits as a Tribunal Judge in both the first-tier Tribunal and the Upper Tribunal and was previously Southern Regional Chairman of the Mental Health Review Tribunal.
He is an Honorary Professor at the Universities of Kent and Middlesex. Prior to becoming a Tribunal Judge he was Dean of the Law Faculty at Southampton Institute then Professor of Law and Head of the Disability Law and Policy Research Unit at Middlesex University.
