SLSA annual conferenceThe SLSA has been running an annual conference since the organisation was founded in 1990. Our conferences are central to our objective of the dissemination of knowledge in the field of socio-legal studies. University of the West of England, Bristol30 March–1 April 2010Next year, socio-legal scholars will be meeting at the University of the West of England in Bristol. The conference is being organised along a new streams and themes format. The call for papers is now open: closing date 31 January 2010. Early bird bookings are encouraged: attendees will save £50 by registering before 30 November 2009. For full details visit the conference website. University of Sussex, Brighton12–14 April 2011The SLSA is delighted to announce that our 2011 conference will be hosted by the University of Sussex in Brighton. Future hostsThe SLSA executive is seeking expressions of interest from universities wishing to host our annual conferences for 2012 or 2013. In recent years local teams have often been supported by a university conference office or department. The SLSA Executive Committee is also able to provide support in the form of a conference sub-committee.
