Communicating with membersDuring the past few years, the SLSA has been developing its links with members. All members receive a weekly email during termtime which keeps them up-to-date with events, courses, job vacancies, research funding and much more: not just in the UK but anywhere in the world. All SLSA members can forward information to the webeditor for inclusion either on the bulletin board or in the weekly emails, or both. Non-members or organisations who have news of interest to SLSA members are also welcome to get in touch. Members’ email networkThe SLSA email network is a resource open only to SLSA members. It is not an interactive network and, because it is run by the National Academic Mailing List Service, known as JISCMAIL, it is completely spam-free. Therefore, if you opt to receive emails from the SLSA when you join, you will not receive any junk mail or discussion-type emails. You can ask to be taken off the email list at any time.
