Volunteers required for psychology research project

The Department of Psychology, at the University of Kent, a leading centre of research and teaching in theoretical and applied psychology, is seeking volunteers aged 65 and over to participate in a new research project.

The aim of the research is to develop verbal interviewing techniques that could be used by police to enhance the memories of elderly witnesses. Participation should take no longer than one hour. Volunteers will be asked to watch a short video and will be asked some questions about what they have just seen. Approximately 200 volunteers are needed to complete this project.

Note: once the data has been analysed a report of the findings is likely to be submitted to a psychological journal for publication. All personal information will be kept strictly confidential.

To register interest or for further information please contact Joyce Humphries at the Department of Psychology on 01227 824187 or email J.E.Humphries@kent.ac.uk.
