University wins best accommodation award for fifth year running

The University has yet again been voted Group Travel Organiser magazine's Best University Accommodation for Groups - making it the fifth year in a row it has won the award.

The award was presented to the University's conference and housekeeping teams by travel writer and broadcaster Simon Calder at a ceremony in London on Friday (15 June) attended by over 500 people.

Group Travel organisers who regularly use University accommodation vote for the awards and Kent won the top prize in competition with six other universities.

Kevin Stuckey, the University's Residences and Conference Manager, said: 'We are absolutely thrilled to win the award for the fifth year running. Continuous investment in our accommodation and a fair pricing policy are key reasons for our year-on-year success in attracting groups to the University.

'However this outstanding achievement really is great public recognition of our fantastic, dedicated staff who all work so hard across the campus to maintain such high standards.'
