Sunday Times praise for University
Graduates from the University of Kent earn some of the highest starting salaries in the UK, according to the latest Sunday Times University Guide. The guide, which ranks it in the top 20 for high starting salaries, also points out that Kent is 'consistently among the best performing in the UK in the National Student Survey'.
The University is also described as being 'equally at home in Brussels, Lille and Canterbury', a result of recent European developments including the expanding Brussels campus and its involvement as one of five partners (and the only non-French one) in the bilingual University of the Transmanche.
Kent's strong regional presence is recognised by the guide which describes its good relationship with the local community as being one of the 'deal clinchers' for prospective students, and it flags up the new accommodation shortly coming on line at the University's Medway campus.
Subject areas rated excellent are anthropology; archaeology; classics and ancient history; computer science; drama, dance and cinematics; economics; history of art, architecture and design; molecular biosciences; organismal biosciences; philosophy; social policy and administration.
