Kent alumni named Britain's next comedy double act

Two graduates from the University have beaten a host of other acts to win a national competition searching for Britain’s next big comedy double act.

Richard Dadd and Dan Fryer, who now work in the University's Information Services department, were selected after thousands of public votes and a judging panel saw them triumph over dozens of other hopefuls to become the new faces of comedy website Sty TV.

The pair, who met while studying at Kent, impressed the judges with their unique approach to the competition, which saw them film their exploits attempting to make an award-winning video.

As well as a cash prize of £2,000, the duo have won the chance to film an exclusive comedy mini-series that will be hosted at www.stytv.co.uk, sponsored by Wicked Pig pork snacks.

Richard and Dan will face a series of challenges, and the videos will document their attempts to succeed, often in the face of adversity. View the trailer or see the first challenge in full at www.stytv.co.uk.
