University of Kent leadership expert, Professor Dennis Tourish will help business managers in the South-East enhance their skills during a one-day course next month.
Titled Leadership Fundamentals, the first in a new series of University business training courses, will explore the impact of the economic crisis on leaders and how leadership needs to be re-imagined in a post-recession world.
Recognised under the training and management Train to Gain scheme, small and medium-sized enterprises could be eligible for a reimbursement of the course fees. The event, taking place at the Hotel du Vin in Tunbridge Wells, from 9am to 5pm, on Monday 20 September, costs £275.
Focusing on the different key roles of leadership, Professor Tourish will explain methods for building loyalty and energising teams. Business leaders will learn concepts and frameworks that are easy to understand and apply to their own enterprises.
Professor Tourish is a renowned business specialist, who has written extensively on leadership, communication and change management. He is Professor of Leadership at the Universitys Kent Business School and was recently appointed Fellow of the Leadership Trust Foundation.
