The University of Kent, Canterbury, Kent, CT2 7NZ, T +44 (0)1227 764000

The creativity, vision and talent of a bold new generation of architects and designers will go on public display at the University of Kent from Wednesday 9 to Sunday 13 July.
Titled EXIT, this powerful and at times provocative end-of-year exhibition will showcase models, drawings, devices, photographs, films and installations from the first BA (Hons) Part 1 graduates of the Kent School of Architecture (established in 2005), as well as graduates from the graduate MArch Part 2 programme, the BA (Hons) Interior Design and BA (Hons) Interior Architecture programmes.
EXIT will also provide visitors with the opportunity to see a wide range of imaginative, intriguing and thought-provoking responses to many difficult and challenging problems, all of which display a breadth of abilities and design awareness which bodes well for the architecture and design professions.
Many projects are located in Kent, affirming the University's and the School's commitment to engagement with contemporary issues in the region, including the Thames Gateway.
The exhibition will include: a Marine Technology and Innovation Centre in Chatham; the calm intensity of a Shaolin Monk's Training Centre; a Super-Casino project that persuasively aligns the aspirations of a real-world client with its stunning location; a proposal for a Medway Motorsport Centre; and a Classical Music Concert Hall for Canterbury.
Professor Don Gray, Head of Kent School of Architecture, said: 'The body of work represented by our end-of-year show is powerful and wide-ranging, and describes the experience of students who were prepared to experiment and take risks.
'Anyone who is interested in the future of architecture and design in the region should come and see this exhibition for themselves. They will leave inspired.'
EXIT, which takes place at the Kent School of Architecture in the Marlowe Building on the University of Kent's Canterbury campus, is free and open to the public Wednesday 9 - Friday 11 July, 10am-6pm, and Saturday 12 - Sunday 13 July, 10am - 4pm. There is disabled access to the Marlowe Building.
