European project leaders and funding experts from the University of Kent are to address regional politicians and business leaders at an event titled European Funding in Kent: Past Successes and Future Opportunities.
The event, which will be held at the University's Canterbury campus on Thursday 23 October, 1.30pm - 5pm, aims to showcase EU-funded projects that have brought concrete benefits to Kent, provide an update on current funding opportunities and areas of support, and offer an opportunity for networking between organisations regularly bidding for EU funding and those considering doing so.
Speakers include: David Nightingale, Senior Deputy Vice Chancellor, University of Kent; Professor Alex Hughes, Pro-Vice Chancellor, University of Kent; Phil Ward, Research Funding Officer, University of Kent; and Councillor Alan Marsh, Lead Member for Policy and Performance, Kent County Council.
European Funding in Kent: Past Successes and Future Opportunities is a local event held as part of the European Week of Regions and Cities 2008. It is organised by Kent County Council International Affairs Group and is supported by the University of Kent and partners of the International Affairs Group.
