The Rt Hon The Viscountess Bridgeman, founder of the Bridgeman Art Library Ltd, will give an Open Lecture at the University of Kent on Friday 4 December at 6pm.
The Lecture, which is being held in conjunction with the English Speaking Union, will take place in the Woolf Lecture Theatre, Woolf College on the University's Canterbury campus. The Open Lecture is free and open to all. There is disabled access to the College and the Lecture Theatre.
Titled 'A life lived through pictures', Harriet Bridgeman's lecture will discuss her work, which provides vital revenue for museums and art owners, helping them to conserve and exhibit their works for everyone to enjoy.
Harriet Bridgeman founded the Bridgeman Art Library Ltd in 1972, which has now become the world's richest and most comprehensive source of cultural and historical art images. In 2006, she founded the Artists' Collecting Society to collect Artists' Resale Rights on behalf of UK-based artists.
Harriet Bridgeman has received numerous accolades for her work, including the European Women of Achievement Award and International Business Woman of the Year.
