Open Lecture to ask Is Champagne an English invention?

Daniel Lorson, Director of Communications, Comité Interprofessionnel du Vin de Champagne, will give an Open Lecture at the University of Kent on Friday 12 December at 6pm.

Titled Is Champagne an English invention? Daniel Lorson's lecture will take place in the Brabourne Lecture Theatre, Keynes College, on the University's Canterbury campus. The open lecture is free and open to all. There is disabled access to Keynes College and the lecture theatre.

Born in the Champagne region to a Champagne-producing family, Daniel Lorson has spent his career in the Champagne industry. He worked as Commercial Director for Louis Roederer and as Marketing Director for Laurent-Perrier before becoming Director of Communications at the Comité Interprofessionnel du Vin de Champagne, in 1996.

Comité Interprofessionnel du Vin de Champagne co-ordinates the common interest of wine growers and producers in Champagne, promoting and protecting the Champagne appellation around the world.
