BSIS postgraduate wins ABTA award

Brussels School of International Studies PhD student Moritz Pieper has won a prestigious doctoral researcher award.

Moritz  won the  2015 Association of British Turkish Academics (ABTA) Management and Social Sciences Award, one of three categories in the annual competition.

His doctoral dissertation on the diplomacy surrounding the Iranian nuclear crisis with a particular emphasis on the positions and policies of China, Russia, and Turkey was placed first in the category.

ABTA announced the winners at a ceremony at UCL in London on 16 May. The competition saw 156 applications from 49 universities in the UK.
