The University of Kent will hold a postgraduate virtual open event on Wednesday 20 May (16:00-19:00).

This free event is virtual, enabling prospective students to discover more about taking a short course, studying a Master’s degree or undertaking a PhD at Kent.

The event is a chance for those looking to return to study, whether recent graduates or those returning after a longer period away, to speak with specialist academics and admissions staff about courses and modules, careers and employability opportunities, and postgraduate student life at the University.

Kent offers a range of career-focused conversion programmes for transferable skills, including Business, Economics and Computing courses for students from unrelated academic backgrounds, whilst Kent’s Master’s degrees in Law and Journalism can develop professional skills in demand by employers in exciting new areas.

Attendees will also be able to learn the latest funding information, including the loans available for Master’s and PhD students.

Attendees can virtually tour inside Kent’s academic buildings and cutting-edge specialist facilities, including laboratories and sports centres, lecture theatres and accommodation. Prospective students can explore the broad open Canterbury and Medway campuses from the camera of a drone, including Kent’s outdoor social and learning environments.

In addition, in-person campus tours can also be booked which will introduce visitors to the campuses’ celebrated green spaces, internationally-famous view over the World Heritage Sites of Canterbury and Historic Dockyard, Chatham.

Simone Davies, Director of Marketing and Recruitment at Kent said: ‘This past year people have given serious thought to their careers, with many eager to find new opportunities and challenges. On Thursday 20 May, potential learners will find that Kent understands what they’re looking for and can provide a solution in postgraduate study. Those eager for change can discover they can take control of their learning and their careers, and can create the change they’re looking for.’
