Gordon Lynch, Michael Ramsey Professor of Modern Theology, has featured on BBC Radio 4's Sunday programme.

Sunday features discussions of religious topics, including religious stories currently in the news and is regularly presented by Edward Stourton. During the broadcast on 13 July, Professor Lynch talked about changes in cultures of deference, following the announcement by Parliament of a public review into child abuse in public institutions.

The programme explored what this suggests about our shifting public moral attitudes and greater willingness to hold institutions and celebrities to account. This relates to Professor Lynch’s ongoing research about a range of schemes run by Christian organisations that separated children from their families and home communities and that have since become the focus of public moral censure.
