FAQs for Centre Stage Saturday – 11th June

Why has ArtsFest changed?
We are licensed for 4,999 people to attend this event and are working with the local authorities to ensure that the numbers do not exceed this limit, and that attendees can enjoy the event in a safe and secure environment.

How has the event changed?
The content of the event has changed very little – indeed we are now going on to midnight this year! However, in order to provide this safe and secure environment, the local authorities have advised that the event should be restricted in numbers within a defined fenced area. This means that entry now has to be controlled by a ticket and matching ID.

How do I get my ticket(s)?
You get your ticket(s) online by clicking here; you will get your e-ticket emailed to you. Print this ticket out and, if you have a guest, print one out for them too.

BRING YOUR TICKET WITH YOU ON THE DAY, ALONG WITH YOUR STUDENT/STAFF (KENTONE) ID CARD. GUESTS MUST ALSO BRING THEIR TICKET AND PHOTOGRAPHIC ID SHOWING PROOF OF AGE (OVER 18 ONLY). THESE WILL BE CHECKED, AND ENTRY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED WITHOUT BOTH.

What if I have already purchased a ticket ?

Those who have purchased tickets will have their £5 refunded in full onto theirr payment card (please note that this may take 2-3 weeks to facilitate).

Can I bring my own alcohol on to site?
Yes, although not more than 6 units of alcoholic beverages per person in plastic containers/cans will be permitted. This equates to approximately one bottle of wine or 4 – 6 cans (depending on ABV%). You can bring as much water as you can carry, and soft drinks too. You will be refused entry with any beverages in glass containers. There will be drinks tents at the event serving from 13:00 to 23:30. The University reserves the right to search any personal belongings and clothing on entry, and to restrict access to the event if deemed necessary.

Are alumni of the University of Kent able to attend?
Yes, plus one guest. Contact the Alumni Office giving your name, address, subject(s) that you studied at Kent and the years that you were a student here. The Office will then validate that you are an alumnus of the University and issue a unique code, which can then be used to obtain tickets online. Please note that all attendees (including guests) must be over 18.
