Me Fieri Fecit: the role and representation of owners, donors and patrons in medieval art

MEMS is pleased to announce that it will be hosting a one day symposium in the summer term, May 11th 2012. The day should provide plenty of discussion on varied themes connected to this fascinating aspect of medieval art. Dr Julian Luxford, author of The Art and Architecture of English Benedictine Monasteries1300-1540: A patronage history (Suffolk: Boydell Press, 2005) will give the keynote address and head the plenary session.
