The Medical Centre is a General Practice offering a full range of medical services under the NHS. Some treatment or investigations may require referral to a consultant outside of the Practice.
Dental and Optician services
Please note your doctor does not provide dental care or optician’s services. There is limited availability of dental care on the NHS and it is not free of charge. You should try to register with an NHS dentist rather than waiting until you need emergency treatment. A list of local NHS dentists and details of how to obtain emergency dental treatment can be obtained by contacting NHS Direct on 0845 4647.
Eye sight tests and contact lens care are dealt with by opticians. There are many opticians available in Canterbury. Opticians are listed in the yellow pages of the telephone directory or online through yellow pages. Those with eye infections or other eye problems should attend the Medical Centre.
