Spring Covid Boosters 24
UMC are now launching our Spring 2024 Covid-19 booster programme in line with the National programme. Eligible cohorts are:

Adults aged 75 years and over. This includes those who turn 75 by 30 June 2024

Residents in care homes for older adults

Individuals aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed
UMC will be holding appointment only clinics, commencing 30th April 2024. Please look out for your invite letter/text/email. Please note patients who previously would receive a letter invite may have been sent an email or text invite.
You can choose to have your vaccine at other vaccination sites, vaccines will be available locally, including at The Sea Cadet Hall, Vaxhall Road Canterbury CT1 1ZN from Monday 22nd April. UMC are unable to book appointments for other venues, these appointments will be available to book through the National Booking Website and by phoning NHS 119.
Staff Training
We hold regular training afternoons for all the staff at the Medical Centre. The training days for 2024 are on the following dates. 5th March, 1st May, 4th June, 3rd July, 6th August, 11th September, 8th October, and 5th of November. The Medical Centre will close at 1.00 pm on each of these days.
On these afternoons patients are asked to contact the Out of Hours cover on 111 or 999 in the case of a life threatening emergency. These numbers are free of charge. All outside clinics usually held on these afternoons will be cancelled
