At UMC we offer three different “pathways” for you to get tested for STIs (sexually transmitted diseases).
Read carefully below to determine which service is the most appropriate and efficient for you.

18 – 24??? Would you like a routine Chlamydia Check?
Drop into our Chlamydia Clinic on Tuesday and Thursday Evenings to do your self taken swab or urine sample.
Can’t make Tuesdays or Thursdays?
Don’t worry – you can pop into reception anytime to ask one of our receptionists for your Chlamydia Kit.

Results
Your screening results will be sent directly to your mobile
phone via a discreet text  message.

You will be required to ring for your test results 1 week after your appointment.

Do you have any sexual health related worries or concerns?
Do you think you have an STI?
Have you had contact with somebody who has a confirmed or suspected STI?
If you have any signs of infection, any symptoms, any concerns or worries then please book into our Mercury Clinic.
The Clinic runs on a Tuesday and Thursday.
You will have a 30 minute appointment with our Specialist Sexual Health nurse. A full sexual history will be taken and if appropriate you will have a full sexual health examination. During this appointment you will have tests for Gonorrhoea, Chlamydia, Syphilis, HIV and any other specialist tests you may require.

This clinic is for anybody of any age with a sexual health related concern. You will have the opportunity to ask any worrying questions and have a discussion with the specialist nurse.

PLEASE NOTE : Men with an appointment at the Mercury Clinic
should NOT PASS URINE for 2 hours before they see the nurse

Results
The specialist nurse will contact you with any results in 1 week.
