Kent’s students have the opportunity to experience life and study in the UK and in France. Locations include Paris and Lille, all easily accessible from the University of Kent’s Canterbury campus within two hours.
Many students take advantage of Kent’s proximity to northern France by studying for one of our ‘double-degree’ programmes. Students graduate with two qualifications - a UK degree from the University of Kent and a French degree from the French partner university.
Lille has a rich architectural and artistic heritage and is also renowned for its shopping, from designer labels and modern shopping malls to unusual boutiques and flea markets. This lively, cosmopolitan city boasts a bustling café life and a wealth of evening entertainment.
Partner universities;
The University of Kent’s double-degree programmes involve study at both the Canterbury campus and campuses in France, where teaching is in the French language. While studying in France, you have access to the full range of facilities and support services provided by the French partner university. These include excellent libraries, student support and IT facilities.
During your double degree you will spend part of your time in Canterbury, where campus accommodation is available. During your stay in France a range of accommodation options is available and the partner university will assist you in finding accommodation.
