Search
Searching the Library catalogue is quick and easy.
- Simply enter your keywords into the search box; for best results:
- avoid using articles, like 'the' or 'a'.
- avoid using an author's initials or first names.
- search for the title of a journal, not for details of individual journal articles.
- You can use the drop-down box to choose the type of search you want to do.
- Click Find or press Return/Enter.
You can use 'Advanced search' to construct a more complex search. The ‘Journal search’ option allows you to find electronic and print journal titles in a single search.
List of search results
You should now see a list of items which match your search terms. At this point you can:
- Sort results by date, classmark, author or title.
- Refine your search with a number of filters on the right hand side, including by Library, Collection, Classmark, Main author, Language and Era.
Click on the title of an item to see more detailed information.
