Reference Management Software: Software that enables you to build a personal library of bibliographic records. Records can be downloaded from database searches, and the software used to insert selected references into Word documents (e.g. essays). The software will correctly format citations and the bibliography according to a chosen style. Two packages are available for use at the university:
- EndNote Support Page - standalone reference management software installed on all University networked PCs
- RefWorks Support Page - web-based reference management software - useful for working off-campus

- Critical appraisal of journal literature - has a particular emphasis on appraising health literature, but will provide you with checklists for assessing the quality of quantitative or qualitative studies
