To import references from EndNote into RefWorks, and vice-versa

From EndNote to RefWorks:

If you use EndNote, but would like to upload your EndNote records to a RefWorks account:

  1. Log into your RefWorks account
  2. From the References menu, select "Import EndNote V8+ Database"
  3. Select the EndNote Library to be imported
From RefWorks to EndNote:

If you would like to download RefWorks records into EndNote, then simply follow the instructions given via the link below in order to extract RefWorks references and download them into an EndNote library.

If you don't use EndNote, but would still like to extract your records from RefWorks, then follow the same instructions in the link given above, but only up until the end of Step 1... You will at least have all the bibliographic details of your references in a single electronic file which can then be exported into different software at a later date.
