Most items at the Templeman Library and at Tonbridge are classified according to the Library of Congress scheme. The resulting classmarks use a combination of letters and numbers (eg HG 173). The letters at the beginning of the classmark indicate the main subject of the item; numbers, and sometimes further letters (eg HD 9502.U62) indicate subdivisions within the subject.
The classmarks in the list below refer to the Templeman Library Main Collection, ie items on the open shelves on Levels 4, 3, and 2 of the Templeman Library. If an item is not in the Templeman Library Main Collection, the locations help page will tell you how to access it.
