Hygiene Room: Changing Places facilities

Changing Places facilities are located around the country and are designed for people who need additional space, equipment, time and for people who cannot use standard accessible toilets and changing facilities.

Changing Places toilets provide extra features and more space to meet the needs of people who use them. What’s available within the facility?

  • height adjustable changing bench and washbasin
  • hoist system to lift people between wheelchairs and the toilet
  • space to ensure the bench and toilet can be approached from either side
  • privacy screen and waterproof stool
  • accessible shower, hand drier and soap dispenser.
