How can I search all North American law journals on Lexis®Library?
Note. You only have to do this once and the search will always be available to you whenever you login via the UK Federation access point.
From the Electronic Law Library scroll down to the Lexis access points and click on UK Federation. This will take you via the University of Kent login screen to Lexis and you will see the My Research tab at the top of the screen. (You must log on to the database as yourself rather than using IP recognition – accessed via the link in the first column of the table on the Electronic Law Library pages).
Click on the Sources tab at the top of the screen.
Click on the Browse Sources button at the top of the screen.
Go to 2. Filter by: Under Country change the dialogue in the drop down box to North America .
Go to 3. click on Legal Journals.
Go back to 2. and change Group/Single Source to Group Sources.
Scroll down and the click on the box beside US & Canadian Law Reviews, Combined. If you are curious about the content included click on the I beside the descriptor and look at the list that opens up in an new screen.
Fill out the Name Selected Sources box with your chosen name eg. North American Journals and click on OK – Continue. You will then be taken to the General Search screen where you can carry out your search. In future when you log in via UK Federation you will be able to go to the General Search screen and use this source.
