Academic entry requirements

Most programmes require a good second class bachelors degree in Law or a related subject for entry.  We welcome applications from graduates from around the world and assess all applications on an equivalent standard.

It is possible to apply for certain LLM degree programmes without a first degree in law but with a degree in a related subject.  Specifically, it is possible to apply for the following courses without a previous legal background: the LLM in International Law with International Relations, the LLM in Public International Law, the LLM in Criminal Justice, the LLM in Environmental Law and Policy, the LLM in Medical Law and Ethics, the LLM in Law and Combined LLM.

Work experience in an appropriate and relevant field is also taken into consideration when applying for our LLM programmes.
