Christine Piper
Christine Piper is a Professor at Brunel Law School. Her research and teaching interests are in child and family law and policy as well as youth justice and sentencing. Her recent publications include Investing in Children (Willan Publishing, 2008), Sentencing and Punishment: The Quest for Justice (with S. Easton, OUP, 2nd ed 2008), 'Will Law Think about Children? Reflections on Youth Matters' in J. Williams and A. Invernizzi, Children and Citizenship (Sage, 2008) and 'Should Impact Constitute Mitigation?: Structured Discretion versus Mercy', Crim.L.R. [2007] 141-155. She is on the Editorial Board of the Child and Family Law Quarterly and is Associate Director of the Criminal Justice Research group at Brunel Law School.
