Disability

Site	Details
Disability Rights Commission	Independent body to secure rights for disabled citizens. Ensures the implementation of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA). Has an extensive list of links to disabled organisations in UK and abroad.
Foundation for people with learning disabilities	Part of the Mental Health Foundation. Working to support all those with learning disabilities.
Mental Health Foundation	Works to support people with mental health problems
LABOur project	A Knowledge Centre on training and employment for people with intellectual disabilities in Europe.

Department for Work and Pensions	Sets employment policy for UK and is approving authority for EQUAL

Job Centre Plus	Combined benefits and employment agency from April 2002 (formerly the Employment Service)
Learning and Skills Council- Kent and Medway	Provides statistics on labour market and education for Kent and Medway regions
SEEDA	South East England Development Agency- sets regeneration policy for area and provides economic and skills forecasts for employers

Blackthorn Trust	Voluntary organisation assisting those with mental health problems and long-term illnesses.
European Institute of Social Services (EISS)	Part of University of Kent at Canterbury; supports voluntary groups and other organisations to get help from Europe. Manages the work of KEEP.
Kent Association for the Blind	Supports blind and partially sited people in Kent.
Kent Council on Addiction (KCA UK)	Supports people recovering from drug/alcohol addiction problems.
