Building on our success in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise (RAE), we are maximising the time available for staff research, to improve grant applications, the international and national profile of key research groups and promotion of inter disciplinary research
To Raise Students Expectations and Achievements
Through continuous programme development, engagement with external bodies, commitment and professionalism of both students and academic staff in developing student awareness of the critical and ethical dimensions of managerial practice.
Enhancing our Role in Regional Communities
To develop a clear and visible regional engagement strategy guided by research and market forces, encouraging academic and industry involvement in Student Placements, Executive Education, CPD, Consultancy, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships and Executive Sponsorship.

To continue raising our regional, national and international profile within Industry, Alumni and Academia to create new opportunities for programmes, partnerships and research, and to further develop our capacities in the areas of sustainability and enterprise, both in terms of teaching and research.
