Using staff PCs and laptops
Staff Managed Desktops
Information Services can build and manage staff PCs for schools and departments via the Staff Managed Desktop Service, which now offers Windows 7 with Office 2010 by default (exceptions can be made).
Staff laptops
Staff work laptops (bought by the University) can be set up and configured using the Kent Laptop Build Service. Alternatively, use the staff laptop setup guide (pdf)] to configure it manually.
Staff can connect laptops to the Kent network on campus using the Wireless Service or wired network points. Access from off campus is available using the VPN Service.
