Mobile device support

Coverage

To connect you need to be in range of our WiFi signal (eduroam): in most learning and social areas (Canterbury, Medway and Tonbridge), and most Canterbury bedrooms.

Before connecting

You need a student, staff or visitor Kent IT account and a compatible device (modern smartphones/tablets are ok; your device needs to support WPA2/AES encryption).

Logging in

When setting up WiFi, add

@kent.ac.uk to your username (user abc1 would log in as abc1@kent.ac.uk)

Eduroam visitors: use your home institution details.

Whether your device is University owned or a personal device, if you use it to connect to the Kent network then the University Regulations apply.
