Server provision
Information Services can house and maintain departmental PC file servers:
- the PC is kept in a secure environment
- operating system updates regularly applied
- files are backed up to tape to provide a recovery mechanism in case of disc failure (please note: this does not provide an archive for files).
Costs
Academic departments: free
Service departments: £1000 per year.
