Kent IT account login problems
Problems logging in? Username and password help
To get your username: Students claim your IT account; staff: your dept will apply for your staff account.
Username format
If your Kent IT account username was abc1 you would enter your details as:

Replace abc1 with your Kent IT account username.
Entering your password correctly
- Check upper and lower case: ensure the CAPS LOCK key is on/off as needed.
- Does your keyboard enter the expected characters if you type text into a document? Mac and non-UK keyboards may not.
Changing your password
Try changing your password especially if you can get in to some services and not others.
Forgotten your password?
Students: use the password reset service
Staff: contact helpdesk with your staff number (from your KentOne card or payslip). If you don't have it ask a more senior staff member if they can verify your identity.
