IT User Panel replaces Computer User Panel
From Spring term 2012 the Computer User Panel will be renamed the IT User Panel:
Helping ensure we continue to meet user needs
The Computer User Panel (CUP) meets once a term to help improve computing services by discussing user needs as they relate to policy. It consists of IT representatives from across the University.
Terms of reference
- To inform the Information Services Committee on the needs of Computing Service users as they relate to policy matters.
- To inform the Director of Information Services on user needs as they relate to the management and provision of communications and information technology (C&IT) on campus.
- To advise on improvements to all aspects of C&IT on campus.
- To receive and consider reports from the Computing Service and representatives of other C&IT providers on campus.
- To report to the Information Services Committee.
Membership
- Academic Representative
- Director of Information Services
- Three senior representatives of Computing Service
- Departmental IT Representatives
- Representative from the Templeman Library
- Representative from Business Systems
- Representative from UELT
- Undergraduate representative from each faculty
- Representative from Students Union
- Two postgraduate representatives
Computer User Panel must have at least as many users as Computer Service staff in attendance for the meeting to proceed.
