International Development

Supporting international students and partnerships

About us

International Development, based in The Registry building on the Canterbury campus, is at the centre of internationalisation at the University of Kent, the UK's European University.

International mission: Europe and beyond

Our mission is to build vigorously on our close ties within Europe and to continue to develop wider international partnerships. An effectively implemented internationalisation strategy ensures that our mission is translated into identifiable, measurable operational practice, open to review and further development.

At Kent, implementation of the internationalisation strategy will be guided by our will

  • to be globally recognised as a unique, high-calibre UK University whose external engagements in all its core arenas of activity embrace Europe and beyond;
  • to strive for excellence in every sphere of our internationalisation activity;
  • to ensure that our internationalisation strategy and its implementation are enterprising in the pursuit of new ventures, collaborations, and partnerships that significantly enhance the quality of the Kent HE experience.
