Immigration, welfare and support

The International Office is dedicated to advising overseas students before they come to the University. We also provide a welfare liaison role for overseas students at the University.

We particularly support the short-term overseas students at Kent and link with the study abroad offices of their home universities.

We liaise with the University of Kent’s various cultural and international societies and we meet many of our current and former overseas students and their families in their home countries.

To provide this, applicants will be required to apply for their visa in person at a UK visa office or Visa Application Centre. Some countries have already introduced this requirement to their visa application process and others will be introducing in between now and April 2008.
