Scholarships and funding

The University and the International Office offer a variety of financial support options and scholarships for all students. Click on the tabs below for further information.

The International Office also administers the Overseas Hardship Fund which the University has set up to provide certain amounts of emergency funding to overseas students.

Overseas hardship fund

The University of Kent has a small hardship fund to provide emergency support for students assessed as paying fees at the Overseas rate who are already registered on degree programs at the University and who experience unexpected financial hardship during their study.

Small awards may be made towards basic living costs, but it is not able to provide tuition fee support.

An application form to be completed for consideration for an Overseas Hardship award may be downloaded here:

Applicants are advised that their application will not be considered without supporting documentary evidence of regular financial support.

Applicants must provide a minimum of three months of bank statements and/or credit card statements.
