Hong Kong Alumni undergraduate scholarship
For students from mainland China and Hong Kong
The University of Kent is pleased to announce that this fund was kindly established in 2005 by our Hong Kong alumni in celebration of the University of Kent's 40th anniversary.
The scholarship aims to assist academically outstanding students from mainland China and Hong Kong to study at the University of Kent.
A number of scholarships are awarded annually to students admitted to full-time study at Kent. Each scholarship will be tenable for a period of three years, subject to satisfactory academic progress. The value of the scholarship will cover full payment of the annual tuition fees plus full or part payment of accommodation and living expenses.
AVAILABLE FOR 2010 ENTRY
The undergraduate awards are of £15,000 for the initial year of entry and renewable for up to a total of three years. The Scholarships are open to full-time undergraduate students in any subject area.
Applicants should be either passport-holders of the Peoples Republic of China or permanent residents of Hong Kong not currently registered on an undergraduate course at the University of Kent. Applicants should have received an offer of a place at the University of Kent for 2010 entry.
A scholarship award will be deducted from the successful candidate's academic fees, and is renewable for up to a total of three years of awards upon satisfactory academic performance. The closing date for applications is 31 May 2010.
