HR Excellence in Research Action Plan for Kent

02/04/2013

The University’s commitment to pursuing good practice in researcher development has now been defined in a formal action plan using the input from researchers in all faculties. Continued monitoring and improvement against the plan will enable achievement of the European Commission’s HR Excellence in Research Badge.

Pension Scheme Automatic Enrolment

23 November 2012

The auto-enrolment provision of the Pensions Act 2008 came into force on 30 June 2012 and individual employers are required to commence complying with the new rules from a “staging date”, which for the University of Kent is 1 May 2013. More information is avaliable here.

Mediation Service

The University’s Mediation Service was formally launched at a lunch on 1 June. A group of volunteer, professionally trained mediators will be able to provide effective conflict resolution for all staff across the University. For more information please visit www.kent.ac.uk/mediation.
